Double-faced wool from a mill that has been weaving it since 1663, cut long enough to sit over a jacket. Unlined, because a lining is how a coat gets thrown away when it wears through.
Heavy enough to be outerwear in October and soft enough to be a shirt by December. Four pockets, horn buttons, and a hem cut straight so it works untucked.
A flat front, a single pleat that you will only notice when you sit down, and a taper that stops before it becomes a statement. Hemmed to your length before it ships.

08Double-faced merino from Biella, in northern Italy, woven at a mill that has been doing it since 1663. Double-faced means two cloths bonded together rather than a cloth plus a lining — heavier, warmer, and repairable, because there is no separate lining to tear away from the shell.
Cut and sewn in a workshop of nineteen people outside Prato. We publish what we pay them and what the garment costs to make, because a coat at this price with no explanation is either a bargain or a lie and you have no way of telling which.
Brush it, air it, and dry clean it once a year at most. When something goes — a seam, a button, a worn cuff — send it back and we will fix it for nothing, for as long as the piece exists. That is the whole reason there are only three of them.
Because a fourth would have to be worse. Every additional style splits the same run across more patterns, which raises the unit cost, which comes out of the cloth. Three is the number where we can still buy the wool we want. When one of them stops being the best version we can make, we stop making it.
Measurements are of the garment laid flat, not of the body. If you are between two, take the larger — everything here is cut close.
