Accessibility Statement
SlateMark Studio is committed to making this website usable for as many people as possible, including those who use assistive technology.
1. Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to read our content and use this site, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, and other assistive technology. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we treat it as part of doing good work — not a box to tick.
2. Standard we aim for
We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA as a practical target, wherever reasonably possible. We may not meet every criterion on every page at all times, and we keep working to close gaps as we find them.
3. What we have done
- Semantic headings in a logical order, with one main heading per page.
- A “skip to content” link for keyboard and screen-reader users.
- Full keyboard navigation with a clear, visible focus indicator, and no known keyboard traps.
- Buttons and links written to make sense out of context.
- Form fields with visible labels and helpful error messages.
- Color and text contrast chosen for readability, with text that can be resized.
- Support for the “reduced motion” setting, which calms or removes animation.
- A responsive layout that adapts to phones, tablets, and desktops.
4. Ongoing work and limitations
Accessibility is never “finished.” Some content, third-party embeds, or older assets may not yet fully meet our target. We review the site as we update it and welcome reports that help us prioritize fixes.
5. How to report a problem
If you encounter a barrier — something you cannot read, reach, or operate — please tell us so we can fix it. Email oliver@slatemarkstudio.com or use our contact page. It helps to include the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using. We aim to respond within a few business days.
